CV Grenadier Company vs 1 Platoon of FV US Paras

Yep, you read that right! Me and my friend had a game today to see if one platoon of Paratroopers could stand up to a whole company of CV Grenadiers. Well, time to find out! I had the paras and my friend had the CV Grenadier company.

US Paras:
1 Command SMG, 6 Rifle/MG stands, 1 Bazooka, 1 Mortar Team

German Grenadiers:
3 Full Strength Grenadier platoons

Attacker's thoughts: I should be able to carry the day if I press hard on both sides and use my numbers to crush him in assaults.
Defender's thoughts: Stay in bulletproof cover and don't come out of my positions.
Some special rules that we used to keep the scenario as real as possible:

Paras cannot fail platoon/company motivation (where is it they can retreat to?)
Paras have the first turn (paras fire first as they need all the time they can get)

 After Deployment

 US Turn 1

South Section kills no teams of the oncoming German host. West Section's rifles and machine guns tear into the West Grenadier Platoon, killing one stand, and the mortar pins them down.

 North Section takes a bite out of the North Grenadier Platoon, killing 2 stands.

German Turn 1

South Grenadier Platoon moves up, ready to assault. West Grenadier platoon fails to unpin from the mortar fire.

 The North Grenadier platoon moves up with the HQ bravely hiding behind the platoon. All the Grenadier platoons fail to hit any of the para stands.

 The South Grenadiers take no hits in defensive fire! The assault goes in, and South Section is eliminated. The victorious grenadiers consolidate into the town.

 North Platoon assaults and looses one stand to defensive fire.

 However, they are unlucky and only kill one stand of paras. Ouch.

 The US paras come back and completely gut the North Grenadier Platoon.

 The command stand comes back, however, and kills one stand of paras.

 The paras decide to swing in again, and finish the platoon.

US Turn 2

One stand of the South Grenadiers goes down to the mortar's direct fire, but the US fail to do further damage to the company.

German Turn 2

West Platoon fails to unpin and South Platoon moves up to assault the paras again. Unfortunately for the Germans, their troops do not hit anything. Their assault is pushed back in defensive fire, but they pull back with all of their guys.

 US Turn 3

The Paras kill 2 stands between mortar and small arms fire and pin the South Grenadiers, and the bazooka scores the company commander!

 German Turn 3

Both platoons unpin and between the South and West Grenadier Platoons, 2 more stands are killed, leaving behind the mortar and the bazooka.

 US Turn 4

The mortar and bazooka combined kill one more stand of the South Grenadiers, which will force morale!

German Turn 4

South Grenadier Platoon fails its morale, which forces company morale, which the Grenadiers also fail. 4-3 to the Paras!

Attacker's Thoughts: Definitely an intense game with plenty of bloody assaults. I never expected one platoon of Paras to hold up to a company of Grenadiers!
Defender's Thoughts: Lots of good action, and I actually felt like I was one of the soldiers in my para platoon! That really came down to him failing 2 morale checks in a row, but it was fun and nerve-racking right at the end as I snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.
